Former Celtic winger earns Player of the Year accolade with MLS side

Former Celtic winger Lewis Morgan has been named New York Red Bulls Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year after an impressive campaign in the MLS. Morgan was signed by New York Red Bulls for $1.5m and the move has certainly paid off for the Big Apple outfit as he picked up 3 assists and scored 17 goals across the campaign.

He didn’t seem to be at the level required to make a lasting impact at Celtic but he seems to have taken well to life in the United States of America. His work rate was always an impressive feature and if he had scored more goals like this during his time at Celtic, things may have been different for him.

You would expect him to make a move back to the UK after his time in the MLS.
