Former Premier League defender teases Celtic transfer signing

Anton Ferdinand has teased that Celtic are completing business already with a cryptic Twitter post. Ferdinand, who played for West Ham and QPR before finishing his career at St Mirren, posted to his 294k followers saying “Don’t the Celtic fans turn up for new signings anymore”.

Ferdinand is an ambassador and advisor for Agents New Era Global Sports, who represent players such as Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey. Equally, Ferdinand may have been teasing as he was present outside the stadium but it appears more likely that he was there on transfer business given his role with the agents.

Although, the excellent young piper pictured in the video may have been there for a wedding that taking place at Paradise. Ferdinand will have not known this but given his professional capacity, he may have been there conducting pre-contract business or acting as an intermediary for new signings from abroad. It appears that he has deleted the tweet after learning the nature of the wedding.

Ange Postecoglou will look to continue his extensive rebuild since arriving from Yokohama F Marinos. Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi are expected to join at the beginning of the January window as the manager seeks reinforcements. Not only that, Postecoglou will look to continue to strengthen the squad across the board and make sure that the team is bolstered in all the right areas after Postecoglou was forced to beat St Johnstone without 16 first team players.
