Forster In SPFL Team Of The Season, Voting For Defenders Ongoing

Fraser Forster won his place in the SPFL team of the season with 47% of the vote, to Alan McGregor’s 44%. The Celtic goalkeeper has enjoyed a phenomenal season and richly deserves such recognition.

The SPFL have now opened voting for the left back, right back and centre back positions.

Among the Celtic nominees are Jeremie Frimpong, Greg Taylor, Jonny Hayes, Boli Bolingoli, Christopher Jullien, Kristoffer Ajer and Nir Bitton.

You can vote using the links in the posts below:

There is one stand out candidate above them all. Indeed, it’s no wonder Jullien tops the centre back votes at present.

And don’t forget to cast your vote in The Celtic Star Player of the Year awards – see below. The choice is between Odsonne Edouard, Callum McGregor, Scott Brown and Fraser Forster.

Hailing from an Irish background, I grew up in Bournemouth with the good fortune to begin watching Celtic as a young child during the Martin O'Neill era. Still living on the south coast, I have a season ticket at Paradise and also travel to European away matches when possible. At the age of 19, I published my first Celtic book (Our Stories & Our Songs: The Celtic Support). Then, last year, I published my second book (Take Me To Your Paradise: A History Of Celtic-Related Incidents & Events), which is sold in Waterstones and official Celtic FC stores.
