Four Celtic injury worries eased and a first ever POTM for Callum McGregor

Four potential injury concerns for the Celtic support ahead of tomorrow’s home match in the Scottish Premiership against Hearts appear to have eased, judging by the training video released by the club from this morning’s training session at Lennoxtown…

Cameron Carter-Vickers was a concern going into the international break, while both James Forrest and Greg Taylor were assessed by the Scotland medical team the day after Celtic’s 3-0 win over theRangers, and both Scotland call-ups were sent home as they were carrying knocks so missed the games against Poland and Portugal.

Meanwhile Alistair Johnston was substituted early in Canada’s away with against the United Stares and later details emerged that the Celtic right back was concerned about a tight hamstring so went off as a precaution.

Yet despite all these concerns ahead of a huge week for Celtic with the Hearts game tomorrow and the Champions League campaign beginning in midweek against Slovan Bratislava, all four Celts were able to participate in today’s training.

It looks like Brendan Rodgers will have a full squad to choose from and expect to see five substitutes being used to maintain the intensity in the side in both matches before attention is turned to Falkirk in the League Cup.

With all three matches being at Celtic Park we could be in for a real treat watching this exciting Celtic side putting on a show.

One player who has clearly being doing just that this season is the Celtic captain Callum McGregor who today received his first ever Scottish Premiership Player of the Month after leading Celtic to a perfect start to the season and scoring three pretty special goals himself, to already surpass his total from last season.
