Frank McAvennie’s Steven Gerrard joke, laugh out loud

CELTIC legend Frank McAvennie made fun of the new Rangers manager Steven Gerrard this afternoon, by telling a wee joke. He wrote, ‘I’ll probably get into trouble for this but see the funny side please!’

Macca appeared on The Celtic Star Podcast earlier in the year and predicted that Graeme Murty would never make it as the Rangers manager – at the time he was being touted as the best thing since Warburton’s sliced bread. He also gave his reasons why which turned out to be extremely accurate.

Odsonne Edouard burst that particular bubble on Beautiful Sunday when Celtic, down to ten men and drawing 2-2, went on the offensive and a Dembele-Edouard front two partnership combined to score a brilliant winner.

Yesterday Celtic spent £4.5m to sign Edouard from Paris Saint Germain and the deal includes add ons that will increase the spend as Celtic reach the Champions League Group stages each season for the four years of the contract.

There will also be a payment due if French Eddie is capped by the national side.

Here’s Frank’s appearance on The Celtic Star Podcast – as you would expect it is very entertaining!
