Glasgow Times Irony Alert as Celtic’s “Showing your friends your DIY lockdown nails,” Tweet is Deleted

Celtic’s social media team today deleted a tweet from their official women’s Twitter account and one of the players replied saying “I hope the admin is kidding…”

The initial tweet was quickly taken down but there seems to have been something of a misunderstanding as first team defender Keeva Keenan was only moaning about the re-use of what she regards as a dodgy photograph of her.

Here is a screenshot of the now deleted Celtic tweet…

The tweet included a picture of the Parkhead women’s side back in training with the caption “Showing your friends your DIY lockdown nails💅”. This after the news that the SWPL will resume at the start of next month with Celtic involved in a close title race with Glasgow City and theRangers.

Keeva Keenan’s “I hope the admin is kidding…” comment has subsequently been liked by her Celtic teammates Jodie Bartle and Kathleen McGovern. Keeva then clarified her initial message saying: “Btw I wasn’t offended by the original tweet from @CelticFCWomen, I was just fuming they done me dirty again with that picture.”

Celtic have apparently been approached by The Herald And Glasgow Times for a comment about this misunderstanding. Hopefully when they are on the phone Celtic will ask them if they have concluded their own investigation into their own tweet from earlier this year, see below…

What a brass neck THEM contacting Celtic to explain our club’s tweets after posting that!
