Green Brigade distributed £15k in time for Christmas, CSCs step up too

The Green Brigade’s Annual food drive, which ran throughout November, raised just over £15k with the funds of £14,314.66 being distributed to over 40 groups in time for Christmas.

The supporters group confirmed these figures this morning and also thanked everyone who contributed.

“Massive thanks as always to all who supported the Green Brigade annual food drive. The appeal lasted throughout November with funds distributed to over 40 groups in time for Christmas,” North Curve Celtic tweeted.

A wee mention too to young Lubo98 of this parish who organised a local fund raising drive via the Tommy Gemmell CSC in Dunblane and raised just over £500 for the Stirling Foodbank, again with the funds being made available for use prior to Christmas.

It’s efforts like these, which are even more challenging to organise when there are no supporters at games, that make you proud to be a Celtic supporter. Well done to all involved in these and no doubt plenty of other similar initiatives that Celtic Supporters clubs have been organising. It’s always worth letting us know in advance and we can help promote etc. Just email editor@thecelticstar.co.uk

CSC Updates will be added here if they arrive via email or you can simply post a comment below.
