Griffiths sends a message of thanks, remember our 9th minute tribute to Super Leigh tonight

LEIGH GRIFFITHS has issued a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has wished him well since the news broke yesterday afternoon that he is going to be stepping back from football for the time being to get the professional help that he needs in order to get his personal life back on track.

“I just wanted to thank everyone at the club and so many Celtic fans and other people who have sent me such kind and powerful messages of support.

“I thank you all sincerely and want to let you know I’m doing all I can to come back as soon as possible, a better and stronger person,” the Celtic striker said.

Tonight the Celtic support will stand up and sign Super Leigh Griffiths in support of the club’s No.9.

The Celtic fans websites have behaved much better than the papers relating to this story. Hopefully Leigh will now be given the time and the space to sort out these issues and when he’s ready we’re bound top see a much happier player wearing the Hoops and banging in the goals again, like we all know he can.
