Scotland’s Shame: ‘No idols, no trophies, no history to sing about,’ word perfect description

SUPPORTERS of all clubs around Scotland and even beyond our borders took to social media last night to offer their support to Leigh Griffiths, who is now getting the help that he needs.

One club’s supporters though were disgraceful in their behaviour last night both on social media and on their forums and indeed as they gathered in Austria for this evening’s must win match against Rapid Vienna.

You’d think that Steven Gerrard (who had kind words to say about Leigh Griffiths) even getting them to this stage would be worth singing about but it’s never really been about that for this filth.

Their vile song about Leigh Griffiths, which will be mixed in with their bigotry and hate in Vienna this evening and will be broadcast by BT Sport, show them up for what they are – Scotland’s shame.

They are summed up perfectly in this tweet which includes their offensive chant. The text is brilliant though and so true…

“In Scotland they sing about Lisbon Lions and on away trips they sing about current Celtic players.

“They have no idols, no trophies, no history to sing about, so they consume themselves in hated and bigotry.”

Apparently up to 12,000 of them are heading to Vienna with only 2500 tickets available to them. There’s already been reports of their shameful behaviour at Glasgow Airport which delayed a flight and involved the Police making arrests and hundreds of them are now stuck in Munich as a result and don’t get a re-arranged connecting flight until 3pm today, meaning they’ll struggle to make the game.

There could be ten thousand of them in Vienna without tickets.

What could possibly go wrong?
