Griffiths shuts down disgraceful Rangers chant as he chases Magnificent Seven

FOR the first time this season, but not for the last, Celtic reached the magic Nine and the man mostly responsible for that was Leigh Griffiths. Nine in a Row sends shivers of fear down the spines of every Rangers supporter and the man that they said won’t be playing football anymore has his boots back on and is ready to ram their disgraceful chants down their throats this season.

The message from Switzerland this morning from Leigh Griffiths is ‘I’m back and I’m coming to get you!’ and the talking has been done on the park where the hot-shot Celtic striker scored four times to take his total to six in three games and he may reach his own Magnificent Seven later this afternoon when Celtic play St Gallen’s first team – kick-off 6.30pm Celtic Park Time.

47′ – THERE IT IS!!!! HAT-TRICK FOR GRIFF!!! Leigh Griffiths cuts in on his left and fires an unstoppable 25-yard strike into the top corner to complete his hat-trick!…6-1.

72′ – GOALLLLLLLLL CELTIC!!!!! Magic from Dembele! The youngster cuts in from the right, beats two defenders before curling his shot into the far corner!…7-1.

75′ – GOAL FOR CELTIC!!!!! Scotty Sinclair grabs his second of the game after fantastic work and a clever cutback from Liam Morrison!…8-1.

76′ – GOALLLL!!! It’s FOUR for Leigh Griffiths!!!! Ewan Henderson finds Griff in space at the back post and the striker makes no mistake!…9-1.

That’s how this 80 minute match ended and Celtic are back in action against the St Gallen first team later this afternoon – it’s Celtic Park time kick-off time of 6.30pm and it is available on Celtic TV.

Leigh Griffiths has now scored 6 goals on the pre-season tour and he may be back in action some some of the final game of the tour later today where he’ll be chasing a Magnificent Seven…
