Half time goals as Celtic lead Aberdeen by three goals

Celtic are 3-0 up at the break against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. Brendan Rodgers’ side started the game in a sluggish fashion but soon found their grove, scoring through Daizen Maeda and Jota before Callum McGregor made it three before the break.

Daizen should his striking prowess after nipping in to capitalise on hesitation between goalkeeper and defender to volley the ball beyond Doohan.

Jota made it 2-0 after a blistering Celtic break. Jota carried the ball towards the Aberdeen box before sliding the ball towards Arne Engels. The Belgian midfielder feigned a shot before cutting it back for Jota, who scuffed his shot but scored.

The skipper made it three after rifling a first time shot beyond Doohan. It was a neat finish from McGregor, continuing his fine goalscoring form.

Brendan will be looking to score more in the second half but he will be mindful of the impact that his bench can make, especially with a trip to Paisley to face St Mirren at the week.
