Happy Kyogo almost in tears, watch Keevins and Halliday changing their tune

Kyogo has been speaking to Celtic TV after his first start since Boxing Day on Sunday in Celtic’s 2-0 win up at Dingwall with Kyogo of course getting the crucial opening goal and with a little more sharpness could have had a hat-trick. That sharpness will come, hopefully for this Sunday when Celtic entertain the Old Firm FC in a match that a win will effectively guarantee that Celtic are the Champions again for the tenth season in a row playing in front of fans.

Of course One Season Wonders secured the Behind Closed Doors title last season with only a handful of their supporters being in attendance at any of the games…the ones with the whistles.

“When I returned to the game it was a very, very nice atmosphere. Home game, full stadium, that made me really happy,” Kyogo told Celtic TV. “I was happy warming up and before going on the pitch the fans and supporters received me with a big applause, I felt the love of everybody. I was almost crying because I felt really happy.

“The team was really good in that game and I just wish I could have got a goal.”

“The fact that I got injured I felt a lot of frustration during my absence because I couldn’t play with my teammates and it was very tough dealing with that feeling,” Kyogo added. “But the team were playing really good and that gave me a lot of joy.

“And of course the fans and supporters told me, ‘We need you back’ so I was very happy with that. This is why I would like to give back with my performances to the team.”

Kyogo also complimented Giorgos Giakoumakis on emerging as a top Celtic striker since overcoming his own injury frustrations, in his case at the start of the season. “Yeah that really motivated me seeing him having a good season. So that made me think I have to come back and work harder.

“This team has great players, so no matter who plays we can play well with our manager with us. We have only a few games left so we should keep playing well and expressing our play on the pitch.”

Here’s Kyogo’s exclusive interview with Celtic TV, posted last night by the club.

Meanwhile he’s more Zombie narrative about this being a poor Celtic side that they simply cannot accept as Champions. They’ve even got Hugh Keevins and Andy Halliday both changing their tunes to praise Ange Postecoglou and the form that they have found as they look down on the Rangers at the top of the league.
