Hartson heaves pressure on theRangers title bid

Celtic hero John Hartson has lumped the pressure on theRangers after seeing spells of brilliance in the Bhoys’ successful expedition to Hamilton – paving the way for fume amongst the irate Ibrox outfit.

‘Big Bad John’, as he was dubbed by the Parkhead faithful, was incredible under Martin O’Neill’s unreal side of the early century, chipping in with 88 league goals in just 146 games. . Since, he has endeared himself even more to the fans; currently residing in Scotland, alongside the infamous Celtic tattoo he dons on his upper arm, ‘BBJ’ is very much a cult hero at Celtic Park – and so Celtic fans were rightfully grinning from ear to ear as he lumped the weight of title pressure upon Steven Gerrard’s side.

Speaking on Sky Sports after Celtic’s routine win over the ‘Accies, Hartson said: “Celtic have been there. The titles have gone their way for the past nine years. Let’s see Rangers now. Celtic have always been at the top, they haven’t had to deal with being behind.
Rangers have a massive lead, it’d be a travesty now if they were to let this lead go. All the pressure now turns on Rangers.”

It certainly would be a feat if Celtic could pull off the Ten, but Hartson is a man who knows how the game works, and specifically the Scottish one; he won three titles in his five-year spell at Parkhead – and given his affiliation for the Hoops’, victory this season would be no sweeter for anyone than BBJ.
