Hearts v Celtic: Referee confirmed for Tynecastle clash

The SFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for Celtic’s game against Hearts at Tynecastle. The Scottish Champions travel across the M8 to face Steven Naismith’s team knowing that three points on the road can put Celtic back to the summit of the Premiership table.

The SFA have confirmed that Don Robertson will referee the clash. Robertson, who used to be a player, will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and Ross Macleod. Graham Grainger is on Fourth Official duties in Gorgie.

Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, John Beaton is on VAR duties with Andrew McWilliam assisting.

Celtic can go top of the Premiership with a win against Hearts after Rangers were beaten by Motherwell on Saturday afternoon. Goals either side of James Tavernier’s questionable penalty from Theo Bair and Dan Casey delivered maximum points for the visitors from Fir Park.

Hearts won the last meeting between the two teams, winning 2-0 at Celtic Park in December. However, when the teams met at Tynecastle in October, Celtic were 4-1 winners. The manager will be hoping that his team can carry on from the second half display at Fir Park and the 7-1 win over Dundee.
