Alan Muir has been named as the referee for Celtic game against Hibernian tomorrow afternoon. Muir, who officiated the League Cup defeat to Kilmarnock earlier this season, will take charge of the game at Easter Road as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to record another away win.
As confirmed by The SFA, Muir will referee the game with Dougie Potter and Jonathan Bell working as Assistant Referees. Matthew MacDermid is on Fourth Official duties. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Don Robertson is on VAR duties with Alan Mulvanny assisting.
Celtic will be keen to dispel any suggestion of fatigue after their impressive display against Atletico Madrid during the week. Brendan’s team were competitive with a top side and were unlucky not to take all three points for the excellent first half display.
Hibs, meanwhile, will be hurting after their defeat at Ibrox last weekend. Nick Montgomery tasted defeat for the first time since arriving from Australia and he will be keen that his side show their ability to bounceback when the Champions arrive in Leith.
Celtic have been excellent on the road this season, winning at Pittodrie, Ibrox, Livingston, Fir Park and Tynecastle; the manager and the players will be keen to add the potentially hazardous Easter Road to that list by racking up three points tomorrow.
