Highlights of dramatic win at Tynecastle as Celtic move 4 points clear

Celtic beat Hearts yesterday in a dramatic afternoon in the Cinch Scottish Premiership. The Scottish Champions had to come from behind and contend with some questionable decisions from VAR.

James Forrest opened the scoring after 14 minutes. Only for Lawrence Shankland to level things up from the spot after VAR intervened correctly to award a spot kick. In between this, the new technology wasn’t used to assist Celtic as Tony Ralston’s header was ruled out for some reason. Then, VAR didn’t assist Celtic as Michael Smith’s hand blocked James Forrest’s cross. Both Nick Walsh and VAR official Steven McLean decided that there was nothing untoward and the half ended 1-1.

Shankland scored early in the second half, sliding in to send the hosts ahead. Celtic responded in quick succession. Giakoumakis rose to nod in a Mooy corner before Maeda followed up a Mooy shot to make it 3-2. Shankland restored parity again from the spot, at the second attempt, but Celtic took home maximum points after Greg Taylor slid in with 15 mins to play.

A big win for Ange Postecoglou’s side. Across the M8, Livingston held Rangers at Ibrox meaning that Celtic are 4 points clear now. A potentially crucial week in the hunt for the title.

And if you liked that, Celtic have released their Unique Angle from behind the Hearts goal, capturing each of Celtic’s strikes.
