Former Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura has decided to hang up his boots. The 44-year-old brings the curtain down on an illustrious career, especially with Celtic where he is fondly remembered for a spell in the noughties.
Celtic released a tribute to the midfielder on their official YouTube channel, featuring some of Naka’s best bits in the Hoops.
Nakamura’s status as a top talent in European football and Japanese hero made his move to Celtic quite surprising but during that time, he was a revelation for the club. During his time with Celtic, Naka won 3 League Titles, 1 Scottish Cup and 2 League Cups during his time with the club.
Happy retirement, Naka.
