Here are the Match Highlights from Celtic’s 2-0 win over Partick Thistle in the Sky Sports Cup, or even the League Cup in old money. The holders came out of the traps quickly with goals from the ever impressive Lucy Ashworth-Cifford and the team’s taliswoman Jacynta and with the Hoops well on to it looked like a high scoring victory was on the cards.
However Thistle came back into the game after that impressive first half hour from Celtic and while the Celtic goal was never seriously troubled there was no further goals which was something of a surprise and maybe a disappointment for Fran Alonso, who will focus on the below par hour rather the highly impressive first 30 minutes.

Four Celtic stars are now heading out on international duty while the players remaining at Barrowfields will take part in a friendly match. The players on international duty are Olivia Chance (New Zealand), Claire O’Riordan (Ireland), Clarissa Larisey (Canada) and of course Kelly Clark (Scotland).
