Hollywood A-Lister shows off Celtic shirt after selecting retro jersey

Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney picked out a Celtic shirt during a. Recent visit to Classic Football Shirts. The Hollywood actor has become more and more involved in football after buying Wrexham with Ryan Reynolds.

There is a brilliant interaction in the clip, where McElhenney asks for clarification of which side Celtic are on. He was certainly pleased with the response.

McElhenney picked out the 2004/05 shirt that was worn by Martin O’Neill’s side that won the Scottish Cup.

McKinney is known as the creator and star of the long-running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In 2021, he expanded his career into sports by co-purchasing Welsh club Wrexham. with actor friend Reynolds. Their ownership has revitalized the club, leading to three consecutive promotions, culminating in Wrexham’s ascent to the English Championship in 2025 . This remarkable journey is chronicled in the Emmy-winning documentary series Welcome to Wrexham, which has garnered global interest.

Under his and Reynolds’ stewardship, the club has increased community engagement while promoting sustainable growth, avoiding reckless spending while upgrading facilities and talent.
