Howe’s that for Flexing Muscles, Eddie’s West End ‘Right Move’ and the wonderful Fratellis

“Re: Eddie Howe’s move to Celtic. A representative for Howe said: ‘There has been significant interest in Eddie from a number of clubs. However, talks of any deal being close are extremely premature. His plan remains to not return to management until the summer at the earliest.” So reports Sami Mokbel the Chief Football Reporter at Daily Mail.

Yet contrast this to the news that Celtic daft Fratellis frontman revealing that Eddie Howe has been spotted house hunting in West End of Glasgow, near to where both Neil Lennon and Steven Gerrard live.

“Howe’s been spotted house hunting in the street next to mine, I can exclusively reveal,” Jon Fraelli said on talkSport. “On the next street down, Steven Gerrard and Neil Lennon have been living across from each other.

“It’s one of those neighbourhoods. I would see Neil Lennon around a lot. Steven Gerrard, I would see once or twice, but that’s literally the next street down.

“Maybe Eddie Howe is going to buy Neil Lennon’s house, because he might not stay there. That happened with Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers, didn’t it?”

The fact that the London based Daily Mail reporter is dismissive of anything that might be happening in Scotland is no real surprise. Had Stephen McGowan from the Scottish Daily Mail reported something similar then we could and should be a little more concerned.

Looks like some muscles are being flexed in order to get the last remaining demands that Howe is looking for, presumably relating to his man coming in as the Director of Football. Who will blink first? We’re going to find out quite soon.
