“I Spoke To Joe Hart Before I Came Up Here And He Said The Atmosphere Is Unbelievable,” Carter-Vickers On Discussion Ahead Of Celtic Move

Celtic’s final signing of the summer transfer window, Cameron Carter-Vickers, has spoken to Celtic TV about his background, life in football and expectations in Glasgow.

During the short interview, the imposing defender revealed that he had called Joe Hart prior to signing for the Hoops. “I spoke to Joe Hart before I came up here and he said the atmosphere is unbelievable, he said it’s one of the best atmospheres he’s ever seen, so I’m definitely looking forward to it,” Carter-Vickers commented.

The Englishman, unbeknown to him at the time, had an interesting connection with Celtic from his youth football days (You can read more about that in the article shown below).

Since then, he has established himself as a professional at a number of second tier English clubs. A promising, highly rated centre half, Carter-Vickers courted interest from Premier League side Newcastle United, but joins Celtic with the prospect of playing European football and winning domestic trophies. The much revered atmosphere at Paradise could provide a springboard for the player to take the next step in his blossoming career; whilst he is also a fully capped USA international.
