Celtic last night signed 32 year-old utility player Jeffrey Schlupp from Crystal Palace in a short term loan deal running to the end of this season…

However Schlupp is a free agent in the summer, so could play himself into contention for a permanent contract at Celtic over the next few months. While he can play in multiple positions, it’s thought that the former Ghanaian internationalist will essential replace Alex Valle and join Greg Taylor in the squad as the two Celtic left-back options.
Kieran Tierney will return Celtic in the summer
And will Taylor looking increasing likely to move on in the summer, Schlupp could be a decent addition when Kieran Tierney joins the club in the summer when his contract at Arsenal comes to an end.
