Celtic are looking to rebuild this summer after what has been a really poor season. The Scottish Champions look set to relinquish their crown after nine straight titles prompting a managerial review this month and promising of a football overhaul. However, one Twitter used @BhoysAnalytics has detailed the challenges that the club face as a result of Brexit.

Players if they want to transfer to Celtic will need an auto pass or the player will need to accumulate 15 points across the following tables that will be shown in this thread.1st up its easy enough to sign players in the top 50 national teams. Hatem & Barkas are 51+ pic.twitter.com/VuCMclZqUv

Points can also be acquired from moving further into the 3 European competitions . Celtic would rarely buy from teams at this level. But it could help add points to those who are in lower band leagues doing well in europe. pic.twitter.com/NlA9chm6AN— Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics) January 25, 2021

We can see how these bands affect point intake. Players from bands 4/5 are unlikely able to get the 15 points needed to transfer to Celtic. Band 4 could be similar. The transfer market Celtic operate in just shrank dramatically. pic.twitter.com/NQ8u6gv2Qy— Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics) January 25, 2021

Finally base points the SPFL are generously in band 3 so Celtic players should have no issues getting work permits moving abroad. However we can see very low points for markets that have been good to Celtic. No more players like Ajer. pic.twitter.com/fY36IAJFwM— Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics) January 25, 2021

For Celtic Brexit will be a stinging blow. Reducing their options in the future for transfers. It will force the club to look inwards to the academy and further attempts to find hidden gems to be developed from England.— Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics) January 25, 2021

I worry Celtic will shrink in ability to compete in Europe. Hopefully SFA can strike a deal to shield clubs in Scotland from this work permit nightmareArticle was written by James Nalton and I’d highly recommend reading ithttps://t.co/YrLmD0es5X

Celtic are, meanwhile, yet to conclude any transfer dealings this month as it moves towards its conclusion. James McCarthy and Ben Pearson have both been linked with moves; however, the team have missed out on players like Mark McKenzie, Filip Benkovic, Bright Osayi-Samuel as well as Alfie Doughty this window.
The club are still to sign any defender – even someone like Declan Gallagher, who fans may initially turn their noses up at but at this stage, the glaring gaps in the Celtic defence prove that there must be action taken.
Celtic haven’t taken any action as they plan on a big summer overhaul. Although, it appears that Celtic are losing valuable time as they continue to twiddle their thumbs instead of making decisions. The outcome of the January Review appears inevitable but the club are dragging their heels when they should be planning for next season but incomings and outgoings.
