Injury Latest – Christopher Jullien “out for 3 to 4 months” Celtic manager confirms

Neil Lennon has told Sky Sports that Christopher Jullien will be out for 3 to 4 months after suffering a knee injury colliding with the goalpost on Wednesday in the 3-0 win over Dundee United at Celtic Park.

Jullien Left Celtic Park in crutches but there was no news until today on how long the French central defender, signed from Toulouse in July 2019 for £7m. It’s a massive blow to Celtic as they look to go on a long winning run in 2020 starting today at Ibrox.

Neil Lennon opted to start Nir Bitton today leaving Shane Duffy on the bench. the Brighton loanee is at Celtic for a season long loan but has failed to establish himself in the side in recent weeks after some indifferent form.

Jullien was missing with a back injury during Celtic’s difficult spell and his return to the side offered some defensive stability.
