Injury Update: Christopher Jullien Set For Dundee United Return

Celtic’s towering centre back, Christopher Jullien, was a surprise absentee from the squad which travelled to the Fountain of Youth Stadium for the SPFL match against Hamilton Academicals yesterday afternoon.

The French defender had picked up a knock during the midweek victory over Ross County, when he was down on his haunches for a few moments, although he did complete the game. Instead, it appears that the injury stems from the Scottish Cup Final last Sunday.

Speaking to Sky One ahead of the match yesterday, Neil Lennon revealed: “It’s just a slight knee problem from the cup final that’s been gnawing away. On this surface, we didn’t want to take any chances.”

Jullien is expected to return to the team, which will face Dundee United at Celtic Park in three days time. The Hoops will be looking to build on their run of five consecutive wins to set them up for their crunch clash against the Rangers on 2 January.
