Ismaila Soro set to play his final Bnei Yehuda game tonight before Celtic move

It looks like Celtic’s chase for Ismaila Soro is finally coming to an end. As reported by the Daily Record, the Ivory Coast midfielder is set to play his final game for Israeli club, Bnei Yehuda, before completing a move to the Scottish champions.

After a dull first couple of weeks in the January transfer window, business is finally picking up at Parkhead as the club recently completed the signing of £3.5 million Polish striker, Patryk Klimala. And they look set to back that up with the signing of the Ivorian whose style has been compared to that of N’Golo Kante.

Bnei Yehuda manager, Elisha Levy, had earlier claimed that he expected Soro to leave after the two clubs had come to terms on a deal. But the transfer was recently put into doubt as Sky Sports reported that late interest from Genk could cause complications in any move going through swiftly. Now though, it looks like the move is going to go through as planned and Soro will play his last game for Bnei Yehuda tonight when they take on Hapoel Afula in the Israeli State Cup.

Soro looks like the type of player that Celtic need in their midfield at this point of time. Strong on the tackle and with bags of energy, he is expected to inject new life into a midfield that has stagnated over time and was found wanting against the Rangers in their 2-1 loss at Parkhead.
