Italian Giants Circle In Pursuit Of Talented Celtic Youngster

Lazio have been linked with a move for Celtic’s U17 talent Vincent Angelini, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Angelini signed his first professional contract with the Hoops in the summer of 2019 and there are high hopes for the young goalkeeper.

The reports in Italy detail how the Biancocelesti, Atalanta, AC Milan and a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing the player this summer, when his contract expires with Celtic.

The teenager, who is the nephew of Celtic legend Davie Hay, allegedly has no intention of renewing his contract with the Bhoys and is thought to be keen on a move to ply his trade in Serie A. There are currently no serious offers tabled but things may develop over the coming months. Lazio are the front runners to sign Angelini, who comes from an Italian background.

The news comes just days after Liverpool purchased 19 year old Celtic stopper, Liam Hughes.
