The match to be covered on this day is one that most Celtic fans will want to forget, rather than remember. It occurred on 13 September 2016; the occasion was a Champions League group stage match; the venue a full Camp Nou in Barcelona; and the final score was Barcelona 7 Celtic 0.
The goals arrived at regular intervals. Lionel Messi in 3 minutes and again in 27; Neymar got the third in 50 minutes, Andres Iniesta the fourth nine minutes later. One minute after that, Messi made it five and the final two came from Luis Suarez in the 75th and 88th minutes.
It must have been a long journey back to Glasgow later that night for the Hoops players!
