Jim “We never get 6 mins added” McIntyre – Kenny Miller’s Missed 95th min Penalty, only last month!

DUNDEE could have scored the winner FIVE minutes into stoppage time but unfortunately for them they blew their chance.

We’re not talking about Sunday’s dramatic conclusion to the Dundee v Celtic match where Jim McIntyre’s side had a wonderful opportunity in the 95th minute to inflict a damaging defeat on Celtic, blow the title race wide open and deal a hammer blow to Neil Lennon’s chances of getting back the Celtic job on a permanent basis.

But Dundee blew their 95th minute opportunity to turn one point into three and ended up 30 seconds later losing the match and ending up with a big fat zero.

McIntrye afterwards was extremest disappointed at finishing the match empty handed which is entirely understandable. Football does that to you. However…

The Dundee boss, as we mentioned this morning, had this to say after the game:

“I asked the fourth official, John Beaton, and he explained the referee felt there were three head knocks as well as the substitutes.

“We never seem to get six minutes added on when we are looking for it. I found it strange to say the least.

The implication was that the 6 minutes added, even with an explanation from John Beaton (of all people!), was somehow something that CELTIC might get but not Dundee.

Of course in the last minute BOTH teams had a chance to win the game and had Dundee shown a little more quality on the 95th minute then McIntyre would have been ‘over the moon’ at the time added on situation.

But that line from McIntyre – “We never seem to get six minutes added on when we are looking for it” isn’t exactly correct.

Just last month, McIntyre’s team got plenty of opportunity to win their game against Motherwell when Kenny Miller won and took a penalty awarded – controversially as it happens – in the 95th minute.

“Kenny Miller was unable to earn Dundee a victory as his penalty kick was stopped late in the second half by Daniel Bachmann,” the SPFL’s You Tube channel noted. Late? Very late! 95/96 minute late, Jim…

But just like on Sunday your team blew it…Kenny Misser! Here’s what happened…
