John Hartson reveals Ange’s most useful signing at Celtic

John Hartson has revealed who he believes is Ange Postecoglou’s best signing during his tenure as Celtic manager. It is a completely reasonable argument to say that Ange Postecoglou has taken full advantage of the transfer window during his time as the Celtic manager. His eye for talent has been near flawless with every player that he has brought through Parkhead’s gates since his arrival at Paradise.

Ange started his hunt for talent by bringing in players like Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt, who sprung straight into the starting XI for Celtic. It doesn’t help that Ange later decided to bring in players like Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda to continue to build the strength of the squad. With the calibre of the players that Ange brought in, it is little wonder how Celtic reclaimed the League title from TheRangers.

Even though the League was reclaimed, Ange didn’t stop there. He added the likes of Sead Haksabanovic, Tomoki Iwata and Hyeongyu Oh to further build the competition in the Celtic squad and give himself decisions to make when drawing up teamsheets.

However, while speaking to The Go Radio Football Show the former Celtic striker, John Hartson, while praising Ange for his excellent recruitment, pointed to one particular signing which has given Celtic a massive boost. He said…

“You talk about the recruitment, Ange’s recruitment, I could go through six or seven players that have been exceptional since they arrived.”

“But no more than Kyogo. He’s provided goals, he’s provided winning moments in games.

“I’m talking about the final against Hibs a few years ago, his double. Important goals as well like the weekend and if he keeps going he can break all sorts of records for Celtic,” John Hartson said.
