Julian Araujo teases Celtic return with social media post

Celtic defender Julian Araujo has teased a pending return to action. The Mexican Internationalist has missed the last two games with a thigh injury but rumours have circulated that he may be out longer term, giving Celtic a further injury headache.

However, the on-loan Bournemouth star teased his return with a post on Instagram with a sand timer emoji.

Araujo has been a major hit with supporters since joining from The Cherries in a loan deal until the end of the season. Clearly, he understands the club and is relishing playing his part in the Hoops.

Alistair Johnston is expected to be back in action after the international break, ending a bleak period on the sidelines for the Canadian star. Celtic have struggled with injuries, especially with senior players like Johnston.

Colby Donovan has started given Araujo and Johnston’s injury issues. Tony Ralston has disappeared out of the first team picture it has been called up to the Scotland squad. Celtic have been linked with a permanent deal for Araujo but it remains to be seen whether any deal would be forthcoming given AJ’s imminent return.
