Celtic remain locked in discussions with Legia Warsaw for a deal for Croatian Josip Juranovic. The ten-cap right-back has been at the top of Celtic’s wishlist as Ange Postecoglou looks to bring in a challenger for Tony Ralston at the right side of defence.
Croatian journalist Marko Jerleković has said that the deal remains ON as it stands but there appears to be a reluctance to find an agreeable price for the full-back, with Warsaw holding firm. The player looks set to depart the Polish club but only if they receive their desired fee, which is believed to be closer to £5m than the previously quoted £3m.
Josip Juranović to @CelticFC is really unlikely to happen.
It’s not off but clubs are in deadlock over negotiations and things should become clearer in the next few days.
Legia are being strong on their valuation and Celtic is not ready to meet it.

Jerleković continued saying that his source is still hoping that a deal will be agreed, retaining hope that Celtic can complete a deal for the former Hadjuk Split star.
Couldn’t get the number out of my source, they are still hoping to close the deal. That will probably go public after it is done or after it falls apart.

Celtic have been looking at Yan Couto from Manchester City on a loan deal but this would only make sense for the club if it was for a couple of seasons and not a season-long deal. Celtic are still on the lookout for a central defender as well as a winger with Gorica’s Kristijan Lovric but as it stands, the club are still working on outgoings as well as incoming over the next few weeks.
