Just 1500 travelling fans for Leverkusen clash as Celtic sell-out Hampden

Celtic will receive just 1500 away tickets for the Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. Despite a large contingent of fans expected to make the journey across to Germany, having been unable to attend the game against Real Betis and the win over Ferencvaros.

There will likely be a large number of fans across in Germany but unfortunately, Celtic SLO JP Taylor confirmed that around 1500 fans would be in attendance.

Celtic have also continued to receive incredible support as the League Cup semi-final was sold out against St Johnstone. There have not been fans at Hampden since Celtic beat Rangers in the League Cup Final in December 2019 but in that time, behind closed doors, Celtic won the rearranged 2020 Scottish Cup before St Johnstone triumphed in both the League Cup and Scottish Cup, sealing a sensational double.

Despite their successes, their relatively local fanbase have sold out a modest allocation allowing Celtic to increase their allocation so that there will be a sea of Green and White looking to cheer Ange Postecoglou’s side into a final.
