Kieran Tierney: The Bhoy may have left Celtic but Celtic’s never left him

Former Celtic Star, Kieran Tierney has been answering questions about his experiences in his professional footballing career on the Youtube channel ‘Goal‘. KT left the Hoops in a £25m transfer down to London to play for Arsenal. Since then he’s established himself as one of their top players and probably the best left-back in the much-hyped English Premier League.

Tierney has had a few problems with injuries, a nasty knee injury kept the full-back out for a good chunk of the 2021/2022 season. But KT is match fit now, starting Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, which helped pile the pressure on the former manager of theRangers.

Although Kieran Tierney is now playing his football in the Premier League, he is still a firm Celtic supporter and relates many questions back to his time in Paradise. When Tierney was asked who the best player he had played with was, he brought up a familiar name. The former Celtic Star said…

“The best player that I’ve played with would be Scott Brown from Celtic, as I think as an influential player, both on and off the park, he just has it all. He is the perfect captain and someone any player in the world could learn from.”

KT later mentions Broony again when asked who his best friend in football was…

“My best friend in football would be Scott Brown probably. He’s someone ill always keep in touch with, and i have done for the past few years since leaving Celtic. He’s gone into a managers job now as well, and we are still keeping in touch.”

Tierney clearly holds his former Celtic captain in very high regard. These days Scott Brown is beginning his move into management down at Fleetwood Town in Lancashire.

And Kieran Tierney was asked what the best atmosphere he had experienced in football and as usual, his reply was once again Celtic-related…

“It would have to be Celtic v (the)Rangers hands down. Not a lot of football can come close to that and luckily for me I grew up going to the games and experiencing and then on the park, experiencing some good victories.”

A few other questions were asked to the full-back. He commented that Celtic Park was one of the best stadiums he has ever played at, along with the Glasgow Derby being one of the best matches he has ever played in. No doubt Kieran will be keeping a close eye on the big game at Paradise that kicks off at 12.30 pm this afternoon.
