Celtic v Kilmarnock: Beaton to referee, Collum on VAR

Celtic face Kilmarnock in the Cinch Premiership on Saturday as they look to consolidate their place at the top of the table. The SFA have announced their appointments for the game at Paradise.

John Beaton will referee the clash. The seasoned referee will be joined by Calum Spence and David Dunne as Assistants with Peter Stuart acting as Fourth Official.

Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Willie Collum is on VAR duties with Dougie Potter assisting.

The appointment comes after Crawford Allan, SFA’s Head of Refereeing, said that the decision to not give Rangers a penalty in the Glasgow Derby fixture in December.

Celtic will be looking to move three points clear of Rangers, who are second on goal difference. The Scottish Champions can make a statement against the visitors from Ayrshire by putting a few goals past them and trying to get their momentum going.

Despite having eight wins and one draw in the club’s last nine, Celtic have struggled to show their best form and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to press forward and show themselves as the best in the country.
