Kyogo starting to rediscover his top form for Celtic

Kyogo showing his true value. We can’t even think of letting him go at this moment in time…

Kyogo was back to his brilliant best in yesterday’s 4-1 win over Ross County at Dingwall.

The Japanese striker scored two cracking goals in an overall pleasing performance and showed once more that he’s our best striker, and letting him leave, in this window anyway is not a viable option.

Doubts have been raised over Kyogo’s future especially after rumoured interest from MLS side Atlanta United which peculiarly led to them announcing his signing by accident on their website, but Kyogo is still very much a Celtic player, and we should be looking to keep it that way.

We may have one hand on the league title, but we still have a shot of reaching the last 16 of the champions league via the play offs, and the Scottish cup is still to be won to complete yet another treble. To do all that we will need all our best players available.

Kyogo is one of our best players, that can’t be argued, and his presence will only make us stronger as we bid to make it a memorable campaign.

  1. The unanswered question still remains as to whether getting kyogo far more involved within our all round play yesterday.
Was a brilliant tactical ploy, or a stroke of luck in getting a far better return from him?
Giving him far more freedom to actually make far more rewarding runs, than so many wasted ones, was a huge benefit for kyogo.
Also kyogo has possibly suffered more so than any of our players since O’riley departure.
So the problem still could exist, when kuhn and Maeda return, as to whether kyogo could remain as playing with more freedom in a positional sense, or back on the shoulder of the last defender and feeding off scraps for himself?
