Kyogo Update as Ange fires warning to Celtic players: “Doesn’t give you the grace to have an off night”

“Just because you had a good performance in the last game doesn’t give you the grace to have an off night,” Ange Postecoglou, said, the day after his side’s dreadfully disappointing Europa Conference League exit against Bobo/Glimt.

There’s no pre-match Media Conference today with Ange Postecoglou – this was cancelled earlier today with both The Celtic Star and the Glasgow is Green podcast now going to attend the presser ahead of the forthcoming Scottish Cup quarter final at Tannadice against Dundee United which has now been confirmed for Monday 14 March with a 7.45pm kick-off at Tannadice. The match will be shown live on Premier Sports.

Ange was in at Celtic Park today while his squad had the day off and the Celtic Manager spoke to Sky Sports who are showing the lunchtime kick-off at Easter Road on Sunday lunchtime. The Celtic Manager reflected on the disappointing performances in both legs against Bodo/Glimt which brought Celtic’s participation in European competition to an end for this season.

You get the feeling that Ange will not be prepared to accept a similar situation next time around.

For now though the focus is very much on Easter Road and Ange talks about former Celtic Star Shaun Maloney who is some 25 years behind the Australian in this tough management game. The message from Ange is that it doesn’t get any easier and the pay after a defeat doesn’t diminish.
