Lille v Celtic – “We’re up against a good side, but I think we’re a good side too,” Neil Lennon

Neil Lennon spoke to BT Sport’s Rory Hamilton just before this evening’s Europa League match against Lille kicked off. The manager was happy to talk through his team selection.

“We rested Scott Brown at the weekend, but he came on and made a good impact against Aberdeen.

“It keeps him fresh, and he’s important for games like this with his experience and his quality as well.

“Bain did absolutely fine at the weekend so I want to run with him. He’s worked hard for this opportunity and Vasilis still has a shoulder issue so it was an easy decision to make.

“Albian has played very well, he was superb against Milan. He’s an impact player at the minute because I don’t think he’s fully match fit, but we’ve got Odsonne and Griffiths to call on from the bench too.

“We’re up against a good side, but I think we’re a good side too and this tie will really whet the appetite for the players.

“We need to get something positive after losing the first game so we’ll try to draw on the experiences of last season.”

The match I now underway…COYBIG!
