Team’s Up – Bain and Ajeti start, Griff and Edouard on bench

NEIL LENNON has named his team for this evening’s Europa League Group H clash against French league leaders Lille. The Scottish Champions are without a win in three games na the Celtic boss will be looking at remedying that with a result in France.

Vasilis Barkas did travel but Lennon has decided to stick with Scott Bain as he hopes not to aggravate the shoulder issue in the Greek goalie.

Shane Duffy starts in defence beside Kris Ajer, with the Irishman hoping to make up for a mistake at the weekend and be the rock at the back that Celtic wanted. Jeremie Frimpong starts on the right of defence whilst Diego Laxalt plays on the left.

In midfield, Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, Olivier Ntcham, Moi Elyounoussi and Ryan Christie for the two central midfielders and attacking trio.

Tom Rogic drops out as Lennon looks to manage his game time after a successful return from a double knock.

Up front, the lone striker is Albian Ajeti.

On the bench: Barkas, Taylor, Welsh, Bitton, Soro, Henderson, Turnbull, Rogic, Karamoko, Klimala, Griffiths and Edouard.

Celtic beat Rennes, who finished above Lille, at Celtic Park and drew in France last season so Lennon will fancy his chances if he can get his team playing at their best, something that hasn’t been evident in the last fortnight.

Lille are top of the group, one goal ahead of AC Milan after they won 4-1 in Prague. A result tonight would give Celtic a foothold in the group stages.
