He was just stating facts, no one can argue the fact. Five trophies in the past two seasons, and five trebles in the past seven years testifies to that.
In fact St Johnstone are the closest side to Celtic’s tally the past decade when it comes to winning major honours.
A few media outlets reported Maik’s comments in their own twisted way, desperate for clicks from the deluded Bears who would have been in no doubt been frothing from the mouth after hearing Maik declaring Celtic as top dogs in Scotland.
But even they can’t argue the fact. Or can they? Most likely, but at the end of the day they know it’s true, but just like the death of their former beloved club, they don’t want it admit it. The truth hurts. For both them and the SMSM.
