Mainstream Media’s fake news, embarrassing response from Police Scotland

Mud sticks, they know that. Fake news can be used as a weapon and that was the only weapon that was used at Tannadice or afterwards by the mainstream media and perhaps even the Celtic Board, who have been raising false flags these past few weeks to discredit the Celtic support – their paying customers.

That’s the Celtic support who put more money into Celtic than the billionaire shareholder with the password for the official Celtic website and all their sponsorship deals with the likes of Adidas and dafabet put together, biting the hand that feeds them.

Talking about hands – Chris McKay had his phone out taking photos of the Celtic support up close and protesting against the Celtic Board during the 2-1 defeat to Dundee United on Wednesday night, the fourth consecutive defeat for Wilfried Nancy who has to get six points this coming week to avoid the sack.

There was a row of Police Scotland’s finest between the two factions – boardroom militants and Celtic ultras and their eyes were all on the latter. Yet somehow the mainstream media including the likes of STV , fabricate a story that a young Celtic supporter was carrying a knife and arms stretched pointing it in the direct of the Celtic board, or the ones that are left anyway.

Geo from The Celtic Star took the photo and has shown that there was of course no knife – if there was surely one of the cops would have noticed especially the one right next to the ‘incident’.  Yet the mainstream media ran with this story. Police Scotland even confirmed that they had launched an investigation.

Celtic fan media including The Celtic Star quickly rubbished the story, in a similar fashion to the one Celtic PR Department placed in the Sunday Mail ahead of the first Nancy defeat against Hearts. That was nonsense too and the police enquiry seems to have gone rather cold on that one too.

So my question this morning is this.

At what point do the SMSM and Police Scotland admit they were totally wrong?

The good name of the Celtic supporters has once again dragged through the mud by the SMSM and Police Scotland, after an image went viral of supporters venting their frustration at the Celtic board during Wednesday night’s defeat at Tannadice.

Each and everyone of the SMSM outlets have been reporting on what they proclaim to be a supporter brandishing a bladed weapon in the direction of the adjacent Celtic board members, and it’s been on of the main topics on Social media, with Police Scotland even commenting on the ‘incident’ saying that they are working closely with both clubs in a bid to find the ‘culprit’.

Sorry, but anyone with any common sense can clearly see that the image shows the supporter pointing his finger, not a ‘bladed weapon’ which is being claimed, with a policeman’s hi vis and handcuffs helping to play mind tricks with those who wish to believe otherwise.

Let’s stop and think about it for a second. If it was a bladed weapon as claimed, why did Police Scotland or a steward, many of whom were just centimetres away intervene? After all being spotted in possession of a plastic bottle at a game is enough for you to get thrown to the ground, never mind a deadly weapon.

Also, what individual is idiotic enough to produce such a deadly item in front of a line of Police officers? None would be the right answer, it didn’t happen, it’s as simple as that, yet the SMSM saw it fit to run with the story.

It’s nothing more than the media jumping on the massive pile on of negativity aimed at Celtic in a time of uncertainty on and off the pitch. What is even more disgraceful is that in the Sunday Mail story, we know that Celtic have been involved in that instance to there is quite naturally a suspicion that Celtic could have been involved in yesterday’s attack on the Celtic support.

Granted a lot of Celtic’s current woes are self inflicted, but the media inventing tales such as this is nothing more than slander and it’s downright ridiculous. But don’t for one second wait for our club to defend these ludicrous claims as they know that it champions their own fake cause of what they proclaim to be ‘severe intimidation’ from an element of the support.

So it’s our duty as a prominent part of the Celtic fan media to ask at what point do the Scottish Mainstream Media, and Police Scotland admit they were totally wrong and offer a much deserved apology?

The 12th on Never is the correct answer.

  1. WOW! A police officers high-viz vest mysteriously turns into a “bladed weapon”? The officer responsible for launching the “investigation” needs to be sacked for gross incompetence. Falsely accusing an innocent man of brandishing said weapon. And wasting tax-payers money on a bogus inept accusation. Especially since a simple photo enlargement proves beyond any doubt that no such incident took place. All the cops present should be sacked for not seeing this “bladed weapon” at the time if it truly was a weapon. Police Scotland and the BritNat media make the Keystone Cops look good. They all owe that fella a huge apology. Halfwits!

    • More to the point, at what point do police Scotland tell.our desperate for sympathy board to stop filing false reports and wasting tax payers money…..or face being charged themselves with wasting police time

Said this before….our board lie, cheat and get away with it …they go down the political routes…and act with impunity….a blanket ban on a section of support over a boy being wrangled about by a full.growm man….
WHY WOULD OTHER MEN NOT SEE SUCH A THING WITHOUT INTERVENTION!!!

Yet the half dozen who got involved results in a ban for hundreds??

Full thong is about keeping protests out the stadium….

      Board out

  3. Valentine's day massacre on

If that happened in Ibroxland or any other stadium the SMSM would have worded it as ‘ a threat from football fans ? But as it concerns Celtic supporters it is full on character assassination .
