The game will be played at Anfield on 25 March 2023 between Liverpool and Celtic Legends with a sizeable Celtic support expected to travel down for the game.
Donati is remembered for scoring that late winner against Shakhtar Donetsk in The Champions League. However, he bought into the club and even has a Celtic badge tattooed on his arm.
The 41-year-old midfielder made 47 appearances for the club, assisting 4 and scoring 5 times. Gordon Strachan signed the player for £1.5m at the end of June 2007 but fifteen years later, he is making a name for himself as a manager. Donati played with Hamilton and St Mirren before remaining in Scottish football as a coach to Angelo Alessio during his ill-fated term as Killie manager. The ex-Celt has stated previously that the Paradise hotseat is his dream job.
