Photo Of The Day: Celtic Fans In The Enclosure At Ibrox

Today’s photo of the day shows Celtic fans in the Enclosure at Ibrox, in the late 70s/early 80s.

That was a period when Celtic fans were often given almost half the ground on visits across the city, which made for a phenomenal atmosphere. Sadly, the new Rangers can only handle 700 fans celebrating at their stadium, so have diminished some of Scottish football’s biggest matches.

Nevertheless, these are great scenes to look back on.

We got the enclosure and some of the main stand right up to the centenary season and even some of the govan stand too. Shame its the way it is now with only 800 or so from each team
