Maybe we’re not doing this Celtic blogging stuff properly by just trying to be as accurate and as pro-Celtic as we possibly can?

JAMES FORREST spoke for the Celtic dressing room yesterday when he stated that none of the players want to see Kieran Tierney leave the club this week. Arsenal have had two bids rejected and are apparently in the process of putting together their third attempt to sign KT who is regarded as being one of the two best left backs in Britain alongside Andy Robertson at Liverpool.

Maybe Arsenal should ask how much Liverpool want for their left back to get a better appreciation on how cheaply Celtic seem prepared to sell their star player. But time is running out – the English window closes at 5pm on Thursday and there was some chat last night that the Gunners might decide to wait until January before trying again.

Hopefully by that they mean January 2024.

Celtic don’t have a big game tomorrow, they have an absolutely HUGE one. The attempts to unsettle Celtic players yesterday was in full flow. The Scotsman, a once proud and respected newspaper, started it by running a story lifted from an Ultra Click Bait site and disappointingly some Celtic sites – click baiting with green and white scarfs on is still click baiting – were happy to run with this, apparently oblivious to any undercurrent of an agenda.

If you wasted your time reading it you’d have discovered that Jozo Simunovic has already agreed terms with Lille, Scott McKenna was coming in, KT was assumed to have gone and his replacement wasn’t the chap from Hull that they were talking about on Sunday but now the left back at Brentford.

Maybe we’re not doing this Celtic blogging stuff properly by just trying to be as accurate and as pro-Celtic as we possibly can? Oh well, we soldier on. James Forrest? Yes, he was talking about KT yesterday, wasn’t he? Here’s what was said.

“Ask anyone in our dressing room, we all want KT to still be here. He’s been a great player for us and everyone is hoping that come Friday he is still here,” Jamesy said to the media as reported by Scottish Sun.

“We want him to get back playing for us. He came with us for pre-season and we still see him at training every day. But considering how long the talk about Arsenal has gone on, I think he’s handled it really well.

“KT is still only 22, so he’s coped well. Every day there seems to be something new in the story. But he’s just keeping himself to himself and working hard. That’s credit to him.”
