Last month, the club were believed to have made contact with central midfielder Pearson about bringing him in on a pre-season. Pearson has made 165 appearances with PNE, scoring twice and assisting five times.
Celtic haven’t taken any action as they plan on a big summer overhaul. Although, it appears that Celtic are losing valuable time as they continue to twiddle their thumbs instead of making decisions. The outcome of the January Review appears inevitable but the club are dragging their heels when they should be planning for next season but incomings and outgoings. Jeremie Frimpong has left, leaving a hole in the Celtic defence at right back. The club are believed to be closing in on Pearson’s PNE teammate Ben Davies, however, who is available on a pre-contract.
Neil Lennon promised ‘one or two’ arrivals before the end of the window; however, it appears that Pearson won’t be one of them.
