Milan stars test positive, days after Celtic Park visit

AC MILAN have confirmed that Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge have tested positive for COVID-19, just days after playing at Celtic Park.

The Italians were 3-1 winners at Celtic Park and Hauge scored Milan’s third goal in extra time as Celtic threatened to get an equaliser. However, both players have been ruled out of tonight’s match vs Roma after testing positive with three other members of staff.

Celtic were poor in the first half and the memories of Scott McDonald’s late winner were replaced by poor defending and soft goals, which we’ve seen too often this season.

Celtic have suffered from the effects of COVID-19 this season its Edouard, Bitton and Elhamed all testing positive, meaning they missed the games against Rangers, Milan and Aberdeen.

Unfortunately, there was no repeat of the 2007/08 win the other night over Milan Celtic’s defensive frailties shown through again. 3-5-2 has been proven to be flawed with personnel this year and Lennon realised his mistake. This weekend, defensive calamities lead to cheap goals being shipped and Lennon will be hoping to address this for the next run of fixtures as a matter of urgency.
