Miller Time at Dens Park this season

CALVIN MILLER signed a new one year contract extension at Celtic this week and as we revealed a week ago, will now go out on loan for the season.

Celtic have now agreed a deal with Dundee and the 20 year old will now gain valuable first team experience while playing for Neil McCann’s side.

Celtic dealt with Dundee in the January window, buying Jack Hendry and organising a complicated loan deal for goalkeeper Scott Bain, who famously fell out with McCann in rather spectacular fashion.

It will be interesting to see where Miller plays his football for Dundee. Brendan Rodgers attempted to convert him to a left back understudy for Kieran Tierney but that looked like a failed experiment and you get the feeling Miller himself is more comfortable in an advanced position.

Emilio Izaguirre’s return to Celtic provides the much needed left back cover and is clearly a better option for Brendan Rodgers that playing Miller there.

A move back into midfield at Dens Park would surely suit the player, who is under contract at Celtic until 2020.
