At the start of the season we all wanted improvement, well the stats show that’s been delivered so we have to recognise it…

A tired and lacklustre display at Dundee
The players were criticised during the week after a tired and lacklustre display in the 3-3 draw at Dens Park, and yesterday evening they faced more online flak due to our spurned opportunities in front of goal in our 2-1 Scottish Cup win over Kilmarnock.
Whilst the criticism over our finishing is understandable, we did win the game, and deservedly so as we advanced to the next round to keep our treble dream alive, and that was always the main objective from the onset.
Indeed that win was our 26th victory in the 34 games we’ve played to date, with 6 draws and only 2 defeats being registered. Add to that the 93 goals we have scored and only 28 being conceded, and it makes for very good reading.

Celtic’s in a very strong position in the league
In the league we are in a very strong position as we sit at the top with a comfortable 13 points lead, and have the first domestic trophy in the bag after our Premier Sports League cup final win last month against theRangers.
When it comes to Europe we have competed well in the Champions League (Dortmund aside) which has given us a great opportunity of advancing to the last 16 via a play off spot. Indeed we can achieve that this midweek in perhaps the biggest match at Celtic Park in many a year.

Our main objective was to improve this season
At the start of the campaign we all agreed that our main objective was to improve this season. The league top priority, we wanted the League Cup back, we would love e treble and maybe up there with retaining the title, we wanted to re-establish ourselves in European football by making it through the group stages of the Champions League. This morning we can agree that we are on course to achieve all objectives.
The stats show that we clearly have improved. It’s only fair that we recognise that just as it’s unfair to main and groan while Brendan Rodgers and his squad are giving everything they’ve got to deliver our dreams for Celtic this season.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
