Morelos out of the Rangers v Celtic match, likely to miss Scottish Cup semi-final

The Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst today ruled his striker Alfredo Morelos out of Sunday’s Glasgow Derby against Celtic at Ibrox and Sky Sport’s Alison Conroy has added to this injury update by stating that she understands that the Colombian striker will also miss the games against Braga and the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic at Hampden on Easter Sunday.

Other than a few goals behind closed doors Morelos has never really troubled a Celtic defence so it’s probably more of a big deal for them regarding the player missing the Europa Cup quarter final tie against Portuguese side Braga.

Ironically as the news is confirmed of a new injury to the Ibrox talisman by van Bronckhorst, Ange Postecoglou was able to confirm much better news for his supporters stating that Kyogo is fit and available for selection on Sunday.
