Kyogo’s Ibrox return as Ange Postecoglou celebrates a Treble

Ahead of today’s Media Conference Ange Postecoglou collected his third straight Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month award, making him the ONLY manager to collect this award so far in 2022. Here’s hoping Ange can retain the award for April because if he does that most certainly will mean that the League is just about won and we’ll be in the Scottish Cup final!

And at that Media Conference Ange celebrated his award by handing out some brilliant news to the Celtic support – our talisman Kyogo, is back in the squad after being declared fully fit and ready to return alongside David Turnbull, both players of course suffered serious hamstring injuries in December. More on this to follow.

Speaking to the official Celtic website earlier today, the Celtic manager had this to say about winning Manager of the Month for March.

“It’s nice to receive this award so quickly again but is testament to our whole group and, of course, the consistency and commitment they have shown. And by the whole group, I mean everyone at the club – players, all staff and my backroom team who have all worked so hard to deliver such positive results and performances.

“It goes without saying that our fans have also played a key role in delivering this consistency through the magnificent support we have received throughout.”

Colin Matthews from sponsors the Loch Lomond Group, said: “Celtic’s form since the beginning of this year has been hugely impressive, with 10 wins and just the one draw in their 11 Premiership matches, and there is no doubt Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff will be delighted to have gone into the international break three points ahead at the top of the table.

“They are scoring goals freely, as well as winning matches at grounds where they have had a poor record in recent times, as the win at Livingston highlights, so there is no doubt that Ange Postecoglou is a worthy winner of the Glen’s Manager of the Month award for March.

“A hat-trick of monthly awards is rare in this competition, but it does highlight the run of form Celtic are having at the moment as well as the continued positive impact Ange Postecoglou is having at Celtic Park, and so for the fourth time this season, congratulations to him and his team.”
